For the 10th year in a row, the MAI team designed and implemented a successful B2B component of the Southeastern United States//Canadian Province Alliance conference in Toronto, Ontario 4-6 June 2017 hosted by the province of Ontario and its Ministry of International Trade. Over 120 companies, institutes and university research departments met one-one-one to discuss a variety of potential business relationships from R&D partnerships and supply chain development to joint ventures and sales and distribution. Key industries included automotive, information communications technologies and clean technologies. The conference and B2B meetings yielded signed contracts and additional relationships under negotiation. Firms expanded their cross-border networks and market intelligence particularly related to potential changes in the NAFTA agreement. This was the largest, highest impact SEUS//CP Alliance conference to date.
